Your Mission
As a representative, your primary mission will be to identify and pair children from English-speaking Canadian families with their counterparts in France. This is more than just a job; it's an opportunity to foster cultural understanding and lifelong friendships.

As part of your journey with us, you will be accompanied for a few weeks by a local business coach who will guide and assist you in starting your business.
Who We're Looking For
We're seeking candidates who are:
Entrepreneurs or have an entrepreneurial spirit
Excellent communication skills
Able to build and maintain strong relationships with clients.
Goal-oriented with a focus on finding exchange families.
Able to work well both independently and as part of a team.
Eager to promote cultural exchanges in Canada
Enjoy interacting with families and young people
Have a clean criminal record - As you will be working with kids
Can provide character references
Respectful of cultural differences
Positive, open-minded, and responsive
Problem-solvers who can handle challenging situations involving parents/youth during exchanges
Canadian citizens or permanent residents
Language skills: Fluent in English. Basic French could be beneficial.
Your Role as a Representative
As a representative, you will have two responsibilities: identifying exchange families and conducting follow-up on the exchange.
Tasks related to identifying exchange families
Possible promotion tasks include:
Reach out to local schools and educational institutions to promote the language exchange program.
Attend community events, fairs, and expos to engage with potential families.
Launch a social media campaign targeting families interested in language learning.
Collaborate with local language schools or tutors for referrals.
Organize informational sessions or webinars about the benefits of language exchanges.
Distribute promotional materials like flyers and brochures in community centers and libraries.
Create a referral program for existing participants to encourage them to spread the word.
Develop partnerships with local businesses that cater to families.
Tasks related to the exchange itself:
Contractual obligations:
Identify potential English-speaking Canadian youth and families for exchange programs.
Explain the benefits and responsibilities of participating in an exchange.
Organize exchanges according to schedule.
Select suitable families for the program.
Compile registration files for participating families.
Conduct meetings with families (via Zoom or in person).
Perform various checks.
Pair participants according to proposals from France.
Dispatch exchange proposals simultaneously.
Facilitate communication between paired families.
Provide ongoing support to Canadian families during the exchange.
The Self-Employed Life
As a self-employed, you will be responsible for:
Managing your finances
Declaring your income for tax purposes
Registering for GST where applicable
Paying your own unemployment insurance and Worksafe BC premiums (optional)
Covering liability insurance costs
Funding your promotional tools
Paying for telephone and Internet services
Handling any accountant or professional fees
Compensation
Your total compensation will be directly proportional to the number of families you successfully match. We offer a highly competitive commission structure, details of which will be disclosed to selected candidates.
